Duke Robotics believes their gun-wielding drones could be a solution to keeping our troops safe.
They say warfare is inevitable. However, this group believes their new gun-wielding drones could be a solution to the mass casualties that typically accompany warfare.
Using advanced drone technology, the team at Duke Robotics has developed one mean minicopter.
TIKAD, the company's drone technology, is capable of carrying a payload that weighs three times as much as the primary unit. And yes, that payload can include fully functional robotic weapons systems.
Awesome, right? But also kind of a mind blow...
TIKAD is designed to be light enough to be carried in the field. It can be operated remotely and has a 6 DOF (Degrees of Freedom) robotic gimbal system.
The group also recently won awards from the U.S. Department of Defense and Counter Terrorism groups.
