Dwaine Caraway took to the steps of City Hall to send a message to the National Rifle Association.

Guns have certainly been the topic of conversation over the last few weeks in our divided country. Recently, Dwaine Caraway, a City Council member and previous interim mayor of Dallas, issued a statement urging the NRA to move its annual leadership forum scheduled for May.

Many reports like this one surfaced from the City Lab. Many Texans and other U.S. citizens were appalled by Caraway's statements.

It is estimated that the NRA convention would bring approximately $40 million worth of economic revenue to the city of Dallas during this year's show.
