Does a solar grill really work?
Last month we shared a video by the Crazy Russian Hacker where he tested some solar fire starters. These interesting products harness the power of the sun to spark a flame.
Well, now he's testing out what's basically an upscaled version of the fire starters, only this device is made to be used as a grill.
Not needing propane or charcoal is definitely a big benefit to a solar grill. Especially in an already-packed camper or other area you might not want a bulkier grill. The downside is, though, a few clouds can spoil your dinner plans.
If you're a fan of the flavor a charcoal brings, this might not be for you. But harnessing the awesome power of our closest star is certainly a very green way to cook your food.
We'll have to wait and see if this idea catches on with grilling aficionados!
