Video: SC Man Severs Ties with YETI Coolers by Blowing His Up

Here's one explosive way to show your dissatisfaction with YETI Coolers.

It's been a trying week for YETI Coolers. As we first reported April 23, the Texas-based company parted ways with the NRA (National Rifle Association) Foundation, which left a bad taste in the mouths of many outdoorsmen and women.

And although the popular cooler company released a statement disputing the claims of the NRA, while highlighting the fact that they still stand behind the Second Amendment, most felt the explanation came too late and appeared to simply be a back-peddling ploy.

Calls to boycott the company ran rampant across social media circles, with some cooler owners taking a creative stand to show their dissatisfaction.

Take Bryan Atkinson, for instance. The avid outdoorsman from South Carolina filled his YETI cooler up with a cocktail of explosives, placed it in a 200-acre field, then blew it up with a single shot from his AR-15 rifle.

That's one way to show your support for the NRA.

Interestingly enough, Atkinson's stunt caught the attention of the Hartsville Police Department, which posted the following message to their Facebook page:

Oh, the costly fun one can have with 22 pounds of Tannerite.
