This turkey gets rolled and does a back flip in the process.
If you have been hunting turkeys long enough then this probably doesn't come as a surprise to you. At close range, with a 4-shot turkey load, the force can easily roll these birds. However, the placement must be right, and it was for this turkey back flip.
Nathan Unger of Bulldawg Outdoors is hunting in the Georgia mountains in this video and describes his hunt below.
"In the heat of the moment I didn't even realize this bird did a back flip. It wasn't until I reviewed the footage later that I noticed it," said Unger.
If you want to skip straight to the shot you can fast forward to around 4:55. Otherwise, enjoy this hunt.
It's incredible that the force of a shotgun can literally turn a turkey upside down. It's especially crazy that it can be done at forty yards away with a modified choke on a Mossberg 500.
However, it shouldn't come as a surprise because these Remington loads can do some damage.
