A public-land Michigan buck hit the ground on the first day of rifle season last year, and it was a big one.
In Michigan, a state where giant bucks are rare, Eric Hysell of Saranac downed a 19-point public-land whitetail.

Hysell shot the buck at 8:10 a.m. the Wednesday before Thanksgiving in 2017 with his .30-378 rifle at an incredible distance of 193 yards in the Manistee National Forest in Mason County.
The buck boasts giant main beams and even features a kicker coming off of the G2 tine, as well as a gnarly drop tine. This is truly the buck of a lifetime.
