Meet the most powerful, luxurious and advanced Ford F-150 ever.
The Ford F-150 has been America's best-selling truck since the Jimmy Carter administration, and it isn't hard to see why. Ford builds its bread-and-butter truck to cater to any buyer whether it's an entry-level work truck, a luxury ranch truck or a high-performance off-road truck.
The updated 2019 Ford F-150 Limited is an example of both luxury and high-performance thanks to what's under the hood.
If you had any doubt that a V-6 couldn't be as powerful as a V-8, Ford's 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V-6 proves otherwise. This engine debuted in the 2017 F-150 Raptor producing 450 horsepower and 510 lb.-ft. of torque, which was more power and torque than either V-8 the previous-gen Raptor offered. Until now, this engine has been used exclusively in the F-150 lineup for the Raptor, but the 2019 Ford F-150 Limited changes that.
In addition to the added power under the hood, the F-150 Limited gets a distinct styling starting up front with a unique satin-finish grille and "LIMITED" spelled out on the hood. The satin look is matched on the 22-inch polished aluminum wheels, window trim, door handles and tailgate trim. Like the Raptor, the F-150 Limited gets dual exhaust outlets integrated into the rear bumper to give this truck a cool look and to allow the engine to breathe easier.
Step inside the 2019 Ford F-150 Limited using the power-deployable running boards, and you'll see that this truck is all luxury from top to bottom... literally. Up top, the Limited gets a standard twin-panel moonroof and suede headliner, while most of the rest of this interior (including the instrument panel and door panels) is wrapped in a high-grade leather. The driver and front passenger will definitely ride in comfort thanks to Ford's multicontour massaging seats, and the cabin is finished with genuine ash wood trim and aluminum bezels.
And Ford didn't stop there. The Limited's cabin is decked out with all the latest technology ranging from SYNC3 infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to the FordPass Connect 4G LTE modem that provides Wi-Fi access for up to 10 devices. Also standard are features like ,adaptive cruise control, Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Active park assist, Lane-Keeping System, integrated trailer brake controller, 360-degree camera, remote start and remote tailgate release. About the only feature that isn't standard is the optional Pro Trailer Assist.
The 2019 Ford F-150 Limited goes on sale later this year, and while pricing has yet to be announced, it will certainly be priced higher than the current Limited that starts at $61,360.
