Ford F-150 SVT Raptor
As a follow-up to the pavement-pounding Ford F-150 Lightning, the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor is a performance truck for off-road lovers. Introduced in 2010, the Raptor gets a beefed-up suspension to conquer any terrain, while its wide-body design allows it to be easily distinguishable from a standard F-150.
Chevrolet Colorado ZR2
Originally developed as a SEMA show truck, the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 was finally given the green light and will be a production vehicle for the 2017 model year. Like the S-10 ZR2, the all-new Colorado ZR2 is designed with off-road driving in mind with a lifted suspension and wider track. The best part of this new ZR2 is that it will be offered with an optional diesel engine!
Toyota Tacoma TRD T/X Baja
Before Toyota's TRD Pro lineup was launched, the Toyota Tacoma TRD T/X Baja was a limited-production truck that showed just how versatile the Tacoma really is. These trucks were modified to offer a lifted suspension with coil over shocks up front and reservoir shocks in the rear. A TRD performance exhaust was also included as were the meaty BF Goodrich tires.
Dodge Ram SRT-10
The 1990s brought us performance trucks like the GMC Syclone, Ford Lightning and Chevrolet 454SS, but the king of the performance trucks launched in 2003 with the Dodge Ram SRT-10. Chrysler engineers crammed a Viper V-10 under the hood of this pickup to create a 500-hp truck capable of accelerating from 0-60 in just 4.9 seconds.
Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6x6
Ok, so it's not just Americans who love pickups. If money is no object, the ultra-rare Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6x6 is the ultimate performance truck. Under the hood is a powerful 536-hp twin-turbo V-8, and this, along with the standard portal axles, lets the six-wheel drive truck power over just about anything. Such a beast comes with an equally beastly price as the factory MSRP started at $515,000.
