Looking for ideas for a gift swap or stocking stuffer? Here are some great outdoor gift ideas under $50.
This time of year is the season of giving, and maybe a little bit of getting. Sometimes it is hard to know what to get your hunting, fishing, hiking, or camping buddies. We're here to help.
Here are some great outdoor gift ideas under $50. Though these gift guide ideas are all under $50, these might still rank among the best gifts you give all holiday season.
Sure, it would be easy to just purchase a gift card to Bass Pro Shops or Cabela's, we believe the more thought you put into the gift, the better. Don't get me wrong, if I receive a gift card I'm not going to complain. However, knowing someone picked something out just for me would speak volumes.
The biggest thing to remember is that all of these gifts are very practical to use out in the field. Plus, any outdoorsman loves getting new gear.
There are tons of holiday gifts for the avid camper, hiker, angler, or hunter including tents, sleeping bags, ammunition, waterproof matches, multi-tools, and more. Though we didn't highlight every single item here, we did pick out a few favorites and gifts that are universal, and that any outdoorsman or woman will use.
Work Sharp Guided Field Sharpener
The Guided Field Sharpener is one of the most complete, compact sharpeners you will find. The sharpener is easy to use and can fit in almost any pack or pocket. It's able to sharpen knives, both smooth and serrated, fish hooks, broadheads, gut hooks, and even garden tools. It's fully equipped with diamond plates that are course and smooth, ceramic rods, a leather strop and 20 degree sharpening guides.
In fact, it even comes with broadhead wrenches for three blade and four blade broadheads. After each side is thoroughly used, replacement parts can also be purchased, so the outdoorsman or woman doesn't need to buy the entire sharpener again.
Yeti Rambler 18 oz Bottle
The stainless steel bottle comes in several color options and is great for kayaking, fishing, hunting, camping, or day hikes. It's durable and dishwasher safe. The double wall vacuum bottle insulates and keeps drinks hot or cold for hours, even while outdoors. The bottle does not leave condensation and comes with a tight-fitting lid that prevents spills or leaks when traveling or sitting in your pack. The YETI Rambler 18-ounce Bottle is just $29.99.
Therm-a-Rest Sleeping Pad
Backcountry sells the Therm-a-Rest RidgeRest Classic sleeping pad for $29.95, but it's currently on sale for half off. The rectangular pad, made from polyethylene foam, is great for camping or hiking. It may not be your California king bed, but it's light, weighing a mere 1 pound, 3 ounces. It comes with a manufacturer lifetime warranty and would make a great gift for an avid hiker or camper.
Parachute Nylon Camping Hammock
Who doesn't love a hammock?! This double hammock from Nurture folds into a really small carrying bag, and is made of durable nylon parachute fabric. Better yet, it's only $12.99 on Amazon. You could probably stuff it into a stocking to show how easily packable it is!
Emergency-Camper's Multi Tool
This Emergency Multi-Tool comes fully equipped with everything an outdoorsman (or anyone, for that matter) could possibly need. It contains an axe, screwdriver, hammer, pocket knife, saw, blades, file, and much more. The stainless steel multi-tool sells for $12.92 on Amazon.
