Is a full-sized .50 BMG rifle too long?
Many people long to own a rifle chambered in .50 BMG. The giant rounds travel a blistering 3,000 feet per second or more and can deliver up to 13,000 foot pounds of energy to a target. All that power comes with a downside and that's the size of the rifle. Your average Barrett weighs about 33 pounds and measures up to 57 inches in length. That's a huge rifle! For some people, it may be more rifle than they want. If that's the case, and you're looking for something more compact, an incredible semi-automatic bullpup design from Tactical Imports Corp. in Canada might catch your attention.

Behold the GM6 Lynx, a .50 BMG semi-auto that is also more compact than the other offerings currently on the market today.

While we love .50 BMG rifles, they do tend to be pretty bulky. Is this rifle a solution to those who want to try firing a .50 BMG off-hand?
The GM6 Lynx is a semi-automatic .50 BMG bullpup rifle with a five-round magazine capacity and a barrel length of 28.7 inches. That's a lengthy barrel for any rifle, but this allows the gun to deliver those big .50 caliber rounds at a distance with accuracy. This rifle is a relatively short weapon that packs a serious punch.
If you're a fan of bullpup weapons, the GM6 Lynx might find a home in your collection.
