Take a peek at the Flying Huntsman 6x6 Convertible from Kahn Automotive.
As far as we know, Kahn Automotive is the only company modifying Land Rover Defenders into 6-wheeled monsters.
The London-based company built the first Flying Huntsman in 2015 and, we assume, they recently decided it was just too tame. It needed something to set it apart from all the other 6-wheeled Land Rovers on the market.
"Why not make it a convertible?" some genius must have asked, and the Flying Huntsman 6X6 Soft Top was born. Or hatched. Maybe spawned. For now it's only a rendering by designer Afzal Kahn. But we think we can guess the production model will be outfitted with at least the same engine found in the hard top version. That would be the 430-hp 6.2-liter LS3 from General Motors.
To accommodate all the extra hardware, the body gets elongated almost 30 inches and grows 6 inches in width.
Want one? We can just about guarantee the price will be much greater than the $311,000 asking price on the original 6X6 Huntsman. But considering the 6X6 G-Class goes for way above $500k, the Huntsman could be considered a bargain.
