This guy has to act quick to save a deer from a python's grip!
Florida's python problem is no secret, but there's something about seeing one wrapped around a native big game animal that cuts a little too close to the chest.
Watch this insane scene filmed by Miami hunter Jimmy Wilson where he comes to the rescue of a whitetail deer slowly having the life choked out of it by a big python.
This footage was actually taken a few months back in Collier County, but has only recently been shared by David Chambers, who was given the footage by Wilson. "I think this can shed light on an important issue," Chambers told the Naples Daily News.
After it was dead, Wilson took a few photos of the huge constrictor.
That issue is the invasive pythons becoming more and more common in the sunshine state. In recent years, Florida Fish and Wildlife has even taken to hosting snake hunt challenges that have proven both popular and successful.
As for the deer in this incident, apparently it eventually recovered enough to run off after Wilson finally killed it. Unfortunately, this type of incident may become more and more common as the number of pythons in Florida continues to explode.
