Yet Another Baby Dolphin Dies in Argentina Because of Crowd Taking Selfies

Another baby dolphin has been killed by tourists. This is 

Here we go again. Once again, video has emerged out of Argentina showing a group of tourists all crowding around a baby dolphin that eventually died as the group passed it around. The animal was dragged from the ocean by the group before it met its demise.

It's just one in a series of incidents the past couple years where animals have been killed by tourists in search of a snap for social media.

This latest incident happened last Tuesday in San Bernardo and witnesses say the group didn't seem to care. "They let him die," a witness told the news station La Capital. "He was young and came to the shore. They could have returned him to the water - in fact, he was breathing. But everyone started taking photos and touching him. They said he was already dead."

These sorts of incidents have become very high-profile in recent years. You may recall a nearly identical incident happened on an Argentina beach last year as well.

There was also an incident of a swan dying in Bulgaria after being dragged out of the water for photos and a shark in the Dominican Republic.

These unfortunate interactions with people and wildlife are becoming more and more common. A study in Yellowstone showed an increased in human/bison incidents was caused by people taking selfies with them.

In Staten Island, New York a man was recently attacked by an 8-point buck after his selfie session with the friendly animal suddenly became anything but.

We can only hope spreading awareness will eventually stop the wild animal selfies. It's just not good for humans or the animal.
