Enter one hawk, with an appetite for snake, that just got its butt kicked all to Hades.

Even listening to them say that they thought the hawk might still be alive wasn't enough to prove it until that raptor finally flew away.
No way was the snake (tentatively identified by the men as a bull snake) going to make a meal out of the hawk, but killing your killer is sometimes the only way to survive in the natural world.
