Want a spicy venison marinade for steaks and chops that will make everyone happy? Here you go.
There is a large faction of outdoorsmen that love to marinate their meat. In most cases, marinades are full flavored and really change the way venison tastes in a good way. With this spicy venison marinade, it packs a punch. However, not so much of a punch that table guests with a more sensitive palate can't enjoy it.
This recipe can be made with probably most of what you already have in the spice cabinet in your house. For me, I ran to the grocery store and spent $7.00 on what I didn't have on hand. So, with that in mind, at least be happy that if you don't like this spicy venison marinade recipe, it won't be a double whammy by costing an arm and a leg to make.
Spicy Venison Marinade
Ingredients
- 1 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4th cup soy sauce
- Several good pours of lime juice
- One large shake of minced onions
- Several good shakes of red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon of dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- A few shakes of thyme
- pepper to taste
- Mince garlic to taste
- Multiple pours of jalepe?o hot sauce (or what you heat level you prefer)
Yeah, so that's a lot of stuff. Thankfully, it's all very easy. To get this spicy venison marinade ready, just throw it all together in a tupperware container or ziplock bag. Use a whisk or spoon and make sure everything is blended well. After that, just toss in your thawed venison steaks for 24 hours.
When you are ready to cook those steaks, pat them dry and add them to a hot, lightly oiled pan until seared to your desired doneness. Afterwards, you can even use a little more marinade leftover added to the plan with corn starch to make an awesome gravy.
