Time to take an in-depth look at the features on The Grip fly reel by Galvan Fly Reels! Here's what you need to know about this state-of-the-art reel.
I just got back from an exploratory trip to the island of Guadeloupe and was able to bring The Grip fly reel along and test it out on a number of different species in both fresh and saltwater.
Simply watch the video below to view a full hd video gear review and get the low down on how you can pick up one of these reels for yourself.
Some highlights about the reel that I cover in the video are as follows:
- Large Arbor Design
- Fully Sealed Drag System
- T6 Aircraft Grade Aluminum
- Fantastic Handle/Grip
- Large Drag Knob with Micro Tuning Capabilities
- Low Startup Inertia
- Perfectly Balanced
Below are a few things I don't have an issue with, but that may be an issue for some people.
- Not many color options (even though I think the Clear/Blue color looks pretty rad)
- While they are not heavy by any means, it is not the lightest reel on the market. The G-8 weighed in at 7.8 ounces and the G-10 weighed in at 8.7 ounces. For me, this would not be enough to deter me from this reel in the least bit.
There you go guys, I hope you enjoyed the review. If you would like to view more specs or purchase one of the reels, then simply head over to www.galvanflyreels.com.
