We know that a Prince Rupert's Drop is very strong, but can it withstand a bullet fired from a high-powered rifle?
If you've never heard of a Prince Rupert's Drop before, they are created by dripping molten glass into very cold water. The resulting tadpole-shaped pieces of glass are extremely strong.
In a previous video, this guy discovered that a Prince Rupert's Drop could withstand a hit from a .22 Magnum and a .38 Special, so he decided to up his game a little and see how a Mini-14 and an AK series rifle did against the drop.

Not surprisingly, both the .223 and 7.62x39mm bullets destroyed the Prince Rupert's Drop. This probably has to do with the fact that they are much higher velocity rounds than the .22 Magnum and .38 Special and because they're both pointed bullets, which focuses all of the bullet's energy into a smaller spot.
I'm not sure when this information would ever be useful to you, but it's still pretty interesting and now you know just how big of a bullet it takes to destroy a Prince Rupert's Drop.
