Team Woodward, the brand she made to represent her and her husband's adventures, is truly all about outdoor teamwork. When throwing cast nets, she does the netting while her husband does the boat driving. They net shad a hand full of times per year in preparation for catfish angling.
As for learning the skill? She caught on the day she was taught.
Throwing cast nets for baitfish is a common practice in many states. However, in Illinois, it's only legal on rivers.
