Okay, so this isn't Star Trek, but you can explore fisheries that would not normally be available to anglers because of their inability to be close enough to the water. In a kayak, you can float under the dock and not just have to flip or pitch your bait there.
It doesn't take an expensive kayak to experience your personal explorations, but a well constructed kayak will give you the stability needed to move into crouched positions and such that may be required to fish these new frontiers.
Under-dock fishing will challenge most anglers to change their fishing styles. It may even require different methods and baits. One thing is for sure, you will experience the excitement of doing something most fishermen are not doing and going places most people don't.
