Hogs are pretty darn intelligent animals and quickly change their habits when subjected to hunting pressure. So, how do you hunt heavily pressured hogs for best results?
Since hogs often become nocturnal as a response to hunting pressure, the simplest way to hunt heavily pressured hogs is to hunt them at night with some sort of thermal or night vision optic. That's exactly what Keith Warren has started doing in recent years. Heck, he even has a thermal scope on his Dragon Claw air rifle!

Thermal hog hunting isn't new and some hunters, like the guys at Jager Pro have been doing it for years. However, as the prices of thermal optics have started to decrease in recent years, more and more guys are getting in on the action, much to the chagrin of hogs all over the country.
While thermal scopes are not as expensive as they used to be, they still aren't cheap. If you can't afford one but are still looking for a way to hunt heavily pressured hogs, you should look into hog calling. It's not a sure thing, but it might just give you an advantage over some of the other hunters in your area.
