After watching this video, this doesn't appear to be an accident at all...
Chew On This has become largely Internet famous for their incredible fishing videos that seem to often feature goliath grouper. As many videos show, they catch these huge fish in a variety of ways that challenge most anglers' conventional thinking. For example, how about fishing for goliath grouper out of a canoe? Yep. That is exactly what happens. After reading that, you probably aren't too surprised that this 1000 pound goliath grouper capsizes it in the process.
Just watch as these anglers get a little more than they bargained for during this battle with such a huge fish.
So... there was a big support boat nearby. That makes me think this was all just set up to get an amazing video on camera. In that case, good for them. It worked! Hopefully, no sane fisherman would go chasing a fish of this size out of a canoe. If they do, similar results would probably occur.
You know something else, I'm pretty much terrified of sharks. Seeing these guys get knocked in the water with so many sharks around would make me chum the water. However, these guys swam back to the boat with the rod still in hand.
Now that is fishing.
