So Shooting Gar With a Blowgun is Now a Thing?

Now here's something you don't see everyday. 

If you've got a few minutes to kill, give this video a shot. I have to admit, when I saw it come across my timeline, I was pretty intrigued. Bowfishing for big gar has been around for a while, but shooting gar with a blowgun is something else entirely.

After you get into the video for a few minutes, you quickly find that sticking a gar with a blow dart is exactly as hard as it sounds.

If there is anybody who could get this done with some tenacity, it would have to be Buck Medley. That guys hunts some incredible animals in ways that would scare most hunters. Tim Wells is no slouch either. He travels all over the world chasing domestic and exotic game. Therefore, it feels fairly gratifying to watch two professional hunters have such a hard time doing this.

However, put an actual bow in their hands instead of a blowgun, and we would have an entirely different outcome.
