Bears love pizza!
Fall is here and winter is fast approaching, and bears are looking to pack on the pounds for hibernation.
A mother bear and her cubs were looking in the right place for a fattening meal when they broke into a pizza shop in Estes Park, Colorado!
Antonio's Real New York Pizza caught the whole thing on surveillance video for the world to see.
"It was really fun to come into that one," co-owner Tony Francher told CBS4 about his arrival at work last Saturday after the bears had ransacked part of the restaurant.
Unfortunately for the mother bear and her cubs, the pizzeria kept most of its ingredients in a separate room where they never gained access. Instead, the three bruins got away with some dough and salami. CBS4 Denver reports bears are actively looking for high-carbohydrate and fatty foods this time of year to help prepare them for the long winter months.
Fortunately for the restaurant, damages weren't too bad and they were able to open that day as scheduled.
Strangely enough, this is the second bear-in-a-pizzeria story to come out of Colorado recently. In September 2015, a cub broke into a Colorado Springs pizzeria before falling asleep on a shelf.
That cub later gained 100 pounds at a wildlife rehabilitation center before eventually being released into the wild.
Of course, who can blame these bears for loving pizza? Doesn't everyone?
