Count the lack of ethics in this video. They're not hard to miss.
We've highlighted a wide range of morons here at Wide Open Spaces. From the guy who thought it'd be cool to wrestle an 11-point buck to the fella who figured he'd get his kicks from dressing up as a T-Rex to play paddy-cake with a full-grown alligator, we've seen it all.
November's submission is a shoo-in for our prestigious award for a variety of reasons, and once you watch the video, you'll have no trouble picking them out. This footage comes from Norway, where traditions may differ from our own, but ethics are ethics, no matter the where you live.
This video may rile you up.
The golden rule of hunting states that a shot should only be taken if you're confident it'll be clean and the vitals will be hit. That's where ethics come into play. As you saw, that moose was moving (undoubtedly being pushed by dogs), leaving the hunter with a bad shot. He should have never discharged that rifle.
First shot aside, where the heck was the follow up? This guy had plenty of opportunities to finish the job, but instead just stood there while the moose flailed about. As brutal as that was, don't even get us started on that dog running loose.
Who knows how far that moose ran, but when a dog is chasing you, you can bet it'll run farther. This is just one of a few reasons it's illegal here.
Another month, another deserving moron. Go figure.
