While everyone likes to have a pet no one else has, this particular animal doesn't just nip at you like a puppy.

Whether or not this is a pet remains to be seen, but when a snapper rears its head back like this, make sure you're far enough away that you don't lose your lips!

The lovely and talented BayouBelle almost turned into a snapper-snack!

While this probably isn't the first turtle she's handled, we would still rather watch her hunting and fishing than trying to get a snapper off her nose.
