There's a reason Texas' Lake Fork is a destination spot for anglers around the world.
In case you needed more proof of that, in just one week, the lake just produced two monster largemouth bass, one weighing 15.48 pounds and the other weighing 13!
John LaBove caught the first bass, the 15-pounder, March 2.
Michael Terrebonne was visiting from Louisiana March 8 when he caught the second fish, which weighed 13 pounds even.
Terrebonne's fish came just a few days after he landed a massive 9-pounder.
"I didn't realize how big the fish was until it turned sideways and I realized it was huge," Terrebonne said in a Texas Parks and Wildlife Press Release. "Everyone was so excited and yelling, 'Get the net! Get the net!'"
LaBove and Terrebonne both donated their fish to the Texas Parks and Wildlife and Toyota Share Lunker breeding program that runs every January through March.
Any angler who catches a bass weighing 13 pounds or over and donates it to the program automatically receives an entry to win a $5,000 shopping spree and also gets a free replica of the fish they caught.
If you live anywhere near Lake Fork, it sounds like now is the time to get out there. The monsters are biting!
