Here's Video of Those Arizona Elk Arriving in West Virginia

The elk herd has been safely released in their new West Virginia home.

For those paying attention, this video shouldn't come as any surprise. A short while ago we wrote about a gift West Virginia is receiving from the Arizona Game and Fish. In all, West Virginia will be the recipients of roughly 250 elk. These animals are coming from Arizona and Kentucky and will expect to aid reintroduction efforts into the state.

Arizona itself once received a similar gift. Nearly 45,000 elk that now call Arizona home started with a re-established herd from Yellowstone National Park. The herd relocating to West Virginia are all descendants from the same group.

These animals traveled nearly 2,000 miles to their new home.
