Ever wish you could travel with your Thermacell?
Well, now that's a reality, thanks to the Thermacell Radius Zone Mosquito Repellent.
We decided to test one out to see how well it actually works.
This particular Thermacell product came with a 12-hour refill and a separately packaged 40-hour refill. It runs off a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that gets over six hours per charge. A supplied USB charging cable allows for easy charging anywhere you go with standard outlets.
When deployed, the Radius Zone Mosquito Repellent covers a 110-square-foot area. Think of it as an anti-mosquito force field.
If selected, the auto-off timer will keep the unit from running down after 120 minutes. The manual on/off push-button is for continuous use.
How does it work, though? Well, the heating element warms up the refill containing 4 percent metofluthrin. The exposed wick then allows your anti-mosquito perimeter to form. It's that simple.
In my testing, I found that it repels both mosquitoes and biting gnats. It also held its charge very well, and the repellent refills actually last as long as advertised without giving off a scent.
I bought my very first Thermacell unit many years ago and I was just as amazed back then.
Enjoy the woods with elite mosquito protection and be sure to head on over to Thermacell's website to take a look for yourself!
