Sometimes the fish wait until you're leaving before taking a bite.
We've all experienced those tough days on the water that are filled with countless casts and nary a bite.
But often when it's time to finally leave, when your spirit low and your ego is humbled, a fish decides to finally show it's face.
There's no point taking bait home with you, is there?
There's nothing like witnessing a brute northern pike swallowing a baitfish whole. The fact that the entire sequence is in slow motion makes it even more brilliant.
It's moments like these that make us never want to pack it in even after a full day on the water.
