Here's a roundup of the four broadheads that got us most excited at ATA 2019.
Just like every year, the 2019 Archery Trade Association (ATA) Trade Show is the first chance of the year for companies tied to bows and arrows to reveal what they've been working on. It's an unveiling party across the board, and we wanted to focus in on broadheads to give you an idea of what's to come.
We found four that peaked our interest, but this only scratches the surface when it comes to new broadheads. Do a little digging, and you'll find now's the time of year new stuff is popping up.
These are four of the cutting-edge broadheads that made their debut at ATA 2019 and are sure to make their point in the coming bowhunting seasons.
Rage Trypan
Rage Broadheads aren't messing around with the Trypan, a newly-revealed choice with a unique chisel tip that helps produce a 2.3" expandable cut.
Muzzy One
The new Muzzy One broadhead has a one piece, stainless steel construction that's unrivaled in strength, dependability, and accuracy, according to the brand that's continued to surprise bowhunters.
Muzzy X
Also new is the Muzzy X, which has four blades, is 100 grains, and cuts 2 5/8" total diameter. That's impressive!
G5 Striker V2
G5 has been making broadheads a center point of their company, and there's no better way to put a stamp on it than introducing the Striker V2. Built off the cut on contact, all-steel design of the original Striker, this new version is updated big time.
We'll keep an eye on all of these broadheads, and try to give as many of them a test as we can to report back. They all look incredible, and there's a lot of excitement building up around all of their debuts.
Most importantly, it's so great to see so many awesome companies devoting efforts towards broadheads, because it means the archery industry is really thriving.
