These two Guymon men now hold the top two spots for non-typical elk in Oklahoma's Cy Curtis Awards Program.
According to the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation, two men from Guymon, Oklahoma, each shot new-state-record elk.
Johnathan Moore's archery-killed bull, which scored 371 6/8, claimed the title for the largest non-typical elk ever harvested in the state.
Meanwhile, Lonnie Pierce's bull, which scored 355 6/8, became the largest bull ever shot with a muzzleloader, and the second-largest behind Moore's.
Both were shot in Texas County, Oklahoma.
The best part of this story is that the two are friends.
