The Outlaw is the newest ATV designed for youth riders.
Polaris Industries continues to add to their extensive line of youth ATVs with their recent announcement of the Polaris Outlaw 70 EFI.
As you've probably already guessed, the new Outlaw is an electronic fuel injection machine. It's powered by a 4-stroke, single cylinder, 70cc enclosed engine. This air-cooled machine has an automatic transmission and replaces Polaris off-road's Outlaw 50 machine with a slightly larger and more powerful ATV. The company says the larger engine is more versatile and will cover a wider youth rider skill set, effectively allowing the Outlaw to grow with the child.
An adjustable speed limiter will allow parents to increase the off-road vehicle's speed from 1-15 miles per hour as the child's skills grow. The machine is fitted with 18-inch tires and offers four inches of suspension travel and ground clearance through single A-Arms in the front and a mono shock swingarm suspension system in the rear. The brake system is a simple, single-lever disc system that should be easy for young riders to operate.
Polaris fitted this two-wheel drive machine with a 1.5-gallon fuel tank. The whole machine weighs just 278 pounds. For riding in dark conditions, Polaris added some led lights. They're offering the machine in two color schemes, white/red and white/pink.
As always, the company is stressing safety features first with this machine. Included with each machine is a full safety kit with a training DVD, safety tether and orange whip flag for optimal visibility. Polaris is even throwing in a helmet into the deal. Sounds like a good way to get younger riders hooked on ATV riding to us!
This machine now joins the Outlaw 110 EFI, Sportsman 110 EFI and Phoenix 200 in the Polaris lineup of youth models. The Outlaw is set to be available in dealerships in April. The MSRP is $2,229 here in the United States.
At the same time as the Outlaw announcement, Polaris also announced the new 2020 GENERAL 1000 Sport, a new, 100 HP, all-wheel drive, side-by-side UTV. The GENERAL is powered by a ProStar 1000 4-stroke engine and has an automatic PVT transmission. The liquid-cooled, EFI machine features a payload capacity of 600 pounds, which should work for most hunters and outdoorsmen for transporting their gear. The dual arm suspension offers 12 inches of travel and ground clearance. It's available in an Avalanche gray color scheme.
The General 1000 Sport is meant to be more of a machine for newer UTV owners. It's a little more affordable than the Polaris RANGER and RZR lines with an MSRP of $15,999. Like the Outlaw, both will have plenty of accessories and will be available at Polaris Inc dealers everywhere in April.
