We wouldn't have believed it if we didn't see it!
Everybody's favorite bearded band of Louisiana family members, the Robertsons, has a pretty strong attachment to their hair. Whether it's on their chin or their heads, they just don't seem to cut it much, which in large part led to their initial popularity and the wild success of "Duck Dynasty."
But now, what with barbershops opening back up after the months-long COVID-19 pandemic shut them down, Willie Robertson felt the need to change things up a little. Call it a quarantine haircut, if you will.
Or, more like a lot, because the 48-year-old reality star chopped the long locks off his head for the first time in 17 years!
You need to see this video and check out the hilarious reactions his new look gets from his wife Korie Robertson and the rest of his family crew.
Would you recognize that guy after he cut off the long hair? Even his wife did a double-take! When Sadie's husband asked if it was a wig, we almost lost it!
I mean, it's not as drastic as him losing the beard (which his brother Jase did manage to do a few years ago, albeit for an extremely important cause). But in any case, a shift in appearance that fools your own wife and kids, even if for a moment, is pretty monumental!
Since the show ended, Willie has kept busy with Wild Willie's, a beard care product company. Seems pretty fitting to us.
While it may have been duck calls that put the Robertsons on the map, it was pop culture that pushed them to the top. And though their relevancy might have dwindled in the recent past, this new haircut video has already been viewed 1.9 million times in less than 24 hours of being posted!
It just goes to show, the outdoor world is a big one, full of lots of interesting people. And it also proves that yes, even when you write for an outdoor publication, you'll eventually report on celebrity hair transformations at one point or another.
