Eating. Back scratches. They're probably every dog's favorite two things in the entire world. But what happens when you have to choose one over the other? What's a dog to do?

That's the predicament that this pit bull is facing. He's clearly very happy to eat his dinner, but he also can't help himself from giving into the wonderful feeling of back scratches. Take a look and see this pup's blissful situation.

Now, as a general rule, it's not a good idea to pat or otherwise distract your dog while he's trying to eat. While this pit bull seems to appreciate the back scratches, that doesn't mean that your dog will feel the same way. In fact, your dog may feel that you're trying to take away his food, and he may react quickly or aggressively. Be sure to feed your dog in a place where he can eat in peace without distractions.

If you want to give your dog a special treat, invite him over for some back scratches after he's eaten his dinner. Many dogs love being scratched or rubbed, and your dog is sure to appreciate the extra one-on-one attention. You can even use scratches as a reward for your dog when he does something desirable.

When you rub or scratch your dog, there's an added health benefit - it gives you the perfect chance to inspect your dog for scratches, wounds, or ticks. Treating your dog to a daily back scratch can not only make him happy, but it can also ensure that he's healthy.
