The farm sits on 41 acres with 15 horse stalls and 10 paddocks.
And what a dream it is! Actor Johnny Depp bought the estate just outside of Lexington, Kentucky for his mother Betty Sue back in 1995. Sadly, Depp's mother passed away last May. Depp is now battling all sorts of Hollywood legal disagreements while going through a divorce.
According to Variety, Depp, a Kentucky native while spending a lot of his childhood in Florida, is in serious debt and is putting many of his properties on the market including five penthouses and his villa in France. The "Pirates of the Caribbean" star has been known to spend lavishly, which may have gotten him into financial trouble.

Close to the Keeneland Racetrack, the 41 acres has 10 large paddocks complete with an automatic watering system and three barns. The house that sits on the property has beautiful Southern charm complete with six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a sunroom, gourmet kitchen, a swimming pool, a four-car garage, and a one-bedroom guest house. The house itself is 6,000 square feet. The horses living at the Kentucky horse farm won't be included in the sale.
The auction will be held by the Halfhill Auction Group on September 15, 2017, at 11:00 a.m.
The property has been valued at $2.3 million. While the horse farm was originally put on the market for $3.4 million, it was brought down to $2.9 million.
The house is located on Versailles Road, just past the Keeneland racecourse and West Moreland Subdivision outside Lexington, Kentucky.
UPDATE:
Depp's family farm is still on the market. The bidding took place on Friday and started at $1 million but never got above $1.4 million. The property was listed at $2.9 million and the top bid was determined too low to sell.
The Halfhill Auction Group and Johnny Depp's business manager Edward White says they will continue to negotiate with interested buyers.
UPDATE:
As of October 2018, the actor re-listed the abode, complete with seven bedrooms and six and a half baths, for $1.6 million.
It failed to sell after two years on the market. It's listed on Trulia.com for $1,495,000 now in May 2019.
