With the explosion of reality television shows focused on human singing and dancing, it's probably only a matter of time until the craze spawns a whole new crop of these same types of televised talent searches devoted to our nonhuman friends.
When that time comes, we've found a four-legged starlet whose impressive vocal talents are sure to warm ears and steal hearts everywhere. She even has the too-famous-for-a-last-name thing going for her: Maya.
What you're about to see - and hear - are Maya's musical stylings, accompanied by an avian backup chorus of backyard chickens. Maya's a soloist at heart, but she's so versatile, at times she sounds like she's one of the flock.

Is she a born star, or what? That range is really something.
Did you know Huskies, like Maya, are known for their vocalizations? According to the American Kennel Club, Huskies "howl regularly, and even use their howl to 'talk,' making strange and often amusing noises as they express joy, curiosity, frustration, and sometimes emotions that seem totally alien to us."
