Unfortunately, we're writing about animal abuse again. This story is about torturing innocent cats purchased off the internet, and I'm not sure it gets worse than this.
As an animal advocate, I recommend anyone selling (or even giving them away for free) animals on Craigslist or a similar site should have a very in-depth background check or honestly, take them to a shelter.
Editor's note: This story is graphic and contains terrifying details about a very disturbed individual.
Multiple dead cats and kittens were found in St. Charles County, Missouri, between January 1, 2019 and May 9, 2019. More than a dozen were killed and some mutilated.
"Prosecutors have charged a 20-year-old man with animal abuse after the suspect admitted to police he was buying cats on Craigslist and then torturing and killing them.
"The St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney's Office charged Kaine Louzader, 20, with two counts of animal abuse."
Police contacted Louzader after someone reported seeing him dump a dead cat near his home. He would search for cats on Craigslist then take them home and stomp or strangle them.
WYFF4.com interviewed the prosecutor,
"St. Charles Prosecuting Attorney Tim Lohmar said if someone is capable of torturing and mutilating animals he believes that person could be capable of a whole lot worse.
We've had several incidents over the years people involved in violent crimes, lo and behold in their background some animal mutilation so it's a scary situation."
The Missouri man accused should face animal cruelty charges! This man eventually admitted (yes, admitted) that there were marks from the cats on his body as they were trying to get away. No lawyer is listed for him in online court documents.
Many of the cats were tortured on his backyard patio or in the bathtub. The people that live in the area on Wild Deer Lane must be horrified they have this neighbor living steps from their front door. Anyone that is killing cats should be put away for a very long time whether it's a dozen cats or one cat.
