A former Fort Bend Independent School teacher admitted to torturing and killing his four cats, ranging from four months to one year old.
According to an arrest warrant, Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office arrested former Ridge Point High School Geometry teacher Graham William Reid on charges of animal cruelty after the teacher tortured his cats. The 29-year-old Sugar Land man worked for the Fort Bend Independent School District.
Williams was arrested on April 28, 2021 and before being released on a $25,000 bond prior to his June 14 court date, where he is charged with four counts of cruelty to non-livestock animals. His four cats Cabbage, Parsnip, Carrot, and Broccoli, were all tortured and killed.
According to court documents, Reid said to an investigator that he would become angry with "various stressors in life." He also said he needed to "feel powerful," so the former teacher tortured the cats.

The harm caused to these four cats was brought to authorities' attention by a veterinarian. The vet who came forward said that the injured "didn't add up." The vet also thought it was "odd" that Reid even brought the animals in for treatment if he was the one who caused it.
The tortured cats had broken teeth, bloodied toes, cut tails, and other problems such as broken bones and respiratory issues.
During the ongoing criminal investigation, Reid told investigators that he felt powerful while harming the cats. He even admitted to hitting a cat with a metal workout bar multiple times. The animal torture went on for about six months. According to Fort Bend County Court document, every time the Texas man killed one of the cats, he went and got another.
According to the Houston Chronicle, Reid allegedly beat all of the cats to death. Reid felt bad for killing one of the cats and had it cremated by the vet. The next cat was thrown out in the dumpster after he killed it. The third cat was hit up against a scratching post, and the fourth cat was killed with the litter box scoop, reportedly for going outside the box.
Reid told investigators that he was bullied and oppressed as a child as an explanation for his actions.
