Red is one of the most common colors in nature, with bright red animals appearing in Australia, Cambodia, Central America, Costa Rica, Madagascar, and Indonesia. Some familiar red animals not on this list may include the red tabby, red dragonfly, western scorpion fish, false coral snake, red velvet ant, red swamp crayfish, Christmas Island red crab, and scarlet macaw!
1. Scarlet Ibis
The scarlet ibis is a genus of ibis in the Threskiornithidae ibis family. This beautiful bird is one of Trinidad and Tobago's two national birds. It is protected all over the world, and its IUCN status is Least Concern. It is a hardy, numerous, and abundant bird that lives in tropical South America and parts of the Caribbean.
2. Ladybugs
Ladybugs, also known as lady beetles or ladybird beetles, are an extremely beneficial species. Adult lady beetles have distinctive convex, hemispherical to oval bodies. They may be yellow, pink, orange, red, or black and are typically speckled.

The Eastern red-spotted newt is a common native salamander of New York and eastern North America. Larvae breathe through their gills and live in water. Juveniles cultivate lungs to breathe air and become land dwellers. Adults still breathe oxygen, but they revert to being aquatic.

The red panda is slightly more giant with a bear-like body and thick russet hair. The word panda is derived from the Nepali word ponya, which means bamboo or plant-eating mammal. Red pandas are highly skilled and acrobatic animals who prefer to live in trees.
5. Scarlet Lily Beetle
True lilies and fritillaries are preyed upon by the scarlet lily beetle. Asiatic lilies and hybrids, as well as some native North American lilies, are particularly vulnerable. These red bugs do not attack day lilies.
6. Tomato Frog
Vibrant colors distinguish tomato frogs. Males are a yellow-orange color, while females are a stronger red-orange color. The undersides of the frogs are off-white, and they may have black markings in some cases. These amphibians spend most of their time burrowing beneath leaves and muck.
7. Blood-Red Glider
The blood-red glider, Cymothoe sangaris, is a butterfly species in the Nymphalidae family. It is native to Central Africa. Some authors suggest that the species should be separated into distinct species. The males are a bright red color and like to spend an hour or more on a sunspot and only move when the sun moves away from them.
8. Cherry Red Shrimp
Red Cherry Shrimp are omnivores that eat algae, debris, and leftover food. They thrive in any freshwater aquarium that has adequate filtration and water quality. Once established in their new environment, these lively freshwater shrimp are primarily red with white interludes. Until the shrimp have thoroughly acclimated and adjusted to their new surroundings, they typically appear clear.
9. Red Sea Star
The Crimson Sea Star, often known as the Red Starfish, belongs to the genus Fromia and comes in various red hues. The Red and Red & Black Sea Stars contain numerous black pores (dots) on their surfaces.
10. Red Squirrel
The red squirrel is a tiny squirrel with reddish-gray fur on top and white or cream fur on the underside. It is an excellent climber and jumper due to its curled front claws and muscular hind legs. This red animal can be found throughout Alaska and Canada. It can also be found in the Rocky Mountains and the eastern United States.
11. Northern Cardinal
The northern cardinal (also called a redbird) is a medium-sized songbird. It has a characteristic crest on the head and a mask on the face that is black in the male and gray in the female. The male is a bright red, while the female has a reddish olive tint.
12. Siamese Fighting Fish
The Siamese fighting fish (Betta splendens) is a Southeast Asian freshwater fish. They have been domesticated for at least 1,000 years, making them one of the most long-lived fish. They are Thailand's national aquatic animal, and the country is still the principal breeder and supplier of bettas for the world aquarium market.
13. Coconut Octopus
The coconut octopus gets its name from the use of coconuts as weapons of defense. Scientists believe it may be harmed by the impact of extensive fishing, which could include habitat destruction or bycatch from other species' fisheries. While seeking for another shell, the octopus will carry one with it and test numerous other shells as it scavenges.
14. Purus Red Howler
The red howler monkey is the largest of the howler monkeys. This red animal has thick fur ranging from brownish to dark red, with gold or bright orange underparts. Males are larger, and their beards are darker and thicker. Their tails are extremely long, with no fur on the underside of the last third.
