The Honey Badger saves the day for a poor little sheep.
While Australia's The Bachelor 2018 alum Nick Cummins may not have found love on the series, the former professional rugby player puts it all on the line to rescue a sheep from a barbed-wire fence. In a trending video, Nick Cummins rescues the sheep and sticks it back into its pasture.

The 33-year-old Australian posted the now-viral video to social media with the caption: "Sheepish! In NZ (New Zealand), this would have gone down very differently." The Aussie was driving down the road when he spotted a sheep in distress. Unfortunately, the sheep's head was stuck in the fence. The rugby star, who makes frequent appearances on reality shows, expertly worked to free the sheep, making sure not to snag his horns.
The video has been posted on multiple social media platforms and can be seen on YouTube and Instagram, with viewers from around the world, garnering nearly seven million views total. In addition, the former winger's Facebook page had around a million views. Comments on his Instagram were all over the place. One fan said, "Ram, Bam, thank you, ma'am. You're a bloody saint, mate, great work." At the same time, another saluted the Bachelor Australia star for his efforts but questioned if the person holding the camera could have helped somehow.
Though, I'm pretty sure the incredibly fit former Wallabies star had the situation under control and did not need any help rescuing the sheep.
Common Occurrence For Sheep
Sheep getting caught in their fencing is not uncommon. In fact, it is something many farmers experience. According to Rich, a mixed farmer of Headys Farm in Buckinghamshire, England, said that many sheep think the grass is better on the other side of the fence, so they will stick their heads through it to eat. Often, when they sneak a bit of grass on the other side, they get stuck.
In the video posted on their page, he encourages people to help the sheep out and gently get their heads back through the gap and onto the correct side of the fence.
The Redbrand Post lists a few ways to help sheep from getting themselves into this predicament. Some of the ways to prevent sheep from getting stuck in the fence are:
- Use woven wire
- Mow near your fence- on both sides
- Use PVC
They also give some tips to safely free a goat.
First, walk up to the goat slowly. Then slowly pick up the goat by the back legs, kind of like a furry wheelbarrow. Next, tilt them forward so that it will lower its head. Finally, you will pull the goat back, and their head should come right on out. With these steps, you can be like Nick Cummins and rescue a sheep.
