Ford Performance celebrates its growing lineup in the best way possible - a one-lap race between eight performance models!
From the affordable Fiesta ST to the Ford GT racecar, these eight Ford Performance vehicles were pitted against each other at the Motorland circuit in Spain. This was the first time all of Ford's performance vehicles took the track together, and the video does not disappoint.
Chip Ganassi Racing provided eight drivers from the World Endurance Championship and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, so these guys were familiar with what Ford Performance has to offer. The staggered start resulted in an exciting finish including the track's final turn.
Perhaps the best part of the video was seeing how well some of these Ford Performance products did on the 14-turn, 3.3-mile course.
The Mustang GT wasn't too far off the pace of the Shelby GT350, and the production Ford GT was on the heels of its racecar counterpart. Even the F-150 Raptor showed up to the road course, and it handled itself almost as well on the track as it does on the trail. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see the Ford's new performance model, the 2019 Ford Edge ST, in action.
