This guy risked his own life to save a complete stranger trapped by flood waters!
After suffering horrific wildfires last year, Southern California is now dealing with flash floods despite only getting "light to moderate rain," according to ABC7.
One driver, Margarito Martinez, learned just how dangerous flooded roads can be, and fortunately, there was a good Samaritan around to rescue him.
Upon finding the Toyota RAV4 trapped on its side in rushing waters in Santa Clarita, California (just north of L.A.), the good Samaritan secured the vehicle with straps and then climbed on top to pull the occupants out. Fortunately, there was only one person inside, and after smashing out one of the side windows, Martinez was rescued from the water. The most dramatic video was shot by the rescuer's niece.
Making this story even more touching, the report goes on to say that Martinez, a gardener, isn't going without a vehicle. Knowing that you need a vehicle to run such a business, one of Martinez's clients has already bought him a replacement vehicle!
Talk about two people who definitely paid it forward.
