Ouch Zone: Hotel Valet Parks Porsche Carrera Cabriolet Under a Subaru

This week, an unlucky Hyatt Regency hotel valet in Sydney, Australia accidentally dismantled a guest's black Porsche Carrera Cabriolet.

According to the Daily Telegraph Australia, the valet accidentally set the Porsche Carrera Cabriolet in reverse, pinning it under the Subaru. In the process, a second vehicle, a cheap white Kia, became pinned against a row of sidewalk metal bollards.

No word on the status of his employment, although he was generously offered the day off. We're guessing he's at least never parking another car ever again.

What probably happened was that the valet mistook drive for reverse. It happens. But eesh, this was quite the mistake. The valet should have seen the car moving forward, yet he still pressed on the gas. The pair of cars came to rest into the side of a Kia and became so welded together that the valet had to be cut out of the Porsche. That's the saddest thing ever.

"Hyatt Regency Sydney places the utmost importance on the safety of our staff and guests and a full investigation is being conducted by hotel management over the next few days," said a hotel spokesperson.
