Waymo has achieved yet another milestone in its quest for self-driving supremacy with 8 million miles driven.
It was announced at the National Governors Association by Waymo CEO John Krafcik, and he also reported an average of 25,000 miles driven on public roads every day, with five billion computer -simulated miles driven since 2009.

At the moment, Waymo has expanded its autonomous testing operation across more than 25 US cities, including its flagship site of Chandler, Ariz., where 400 people are participating in its Early Rider program, cruising around in its self-driving Chrysler Pacifica minivans.
