The FIAT 124 Spider is a spunky roadster, and it's offering a new range of options for the new model year .
The FIAT lineup of new cars is already unique, and according to Steve Beahm, the Head of Passenger Car Brands for FCA US LLC, this new bevy of options makes the 124 Spider "stand out on the road and at the track."
Pick Your Poison
Literally. The Veleno Appearance Group is reserved for the 124 Spider Abarth models. Veleno translates to "poison," which is reminiscent of the Abarth scorpion. Included are red exterior mirror caps, a red lower fascia lip and a red front tow hook. A bright foot rest is outfitted in the cabin.
Puro White Tri-Coat Pearl, Brillante White, Forte Black Metallic and Chiaro Silver Metallic are the four exterior colors available.
All this comes at the relatively low price of $495.
Off to the Races
The FIAT 124 Spider is a sport-inspired model, and as such, the new model year is offering shoppers one of two exterior stripe designs on the Classica model: Double Rally Stripe and Retro Stripe. Priced at $295, either option is sure to spiff up your Spider.
Do You Hear That?
For an extra dose of excitement at the wheel, opt for the available Record Monza Exhaust exclusive to Abarth models.
This system is a "tribute" to Carlo Abarth who broke the speed record on the Italian circuit.
It's growling power is a result of Dual-Mode technology with four exits, which is complemented by an aggressive design that "FIAT racing enthusiasts will appreciate."
Drivers get the added benefit of a dual-path exhaust that includes a spring-loaded diversion valve that optimizes exhaust tone and flow in correlation to various driving dynamics.
The Record Monza Exhaust is rated at $995 MSRP. We can picture someone cranking up the air conditioning, gripping the steering wheel, and speeding through the desert in a Fiat 124 Spider Abarth.
The audio system includes Bluetooth and other modern tech to keep drivers and riders updated and entertained.
The 124 Spider offers three trim levels for the model year: Classica, Lusso, and Abarth. Beahm continues, "With iconic Italian styling and segment-exclusive turbo power, the FIAT 124 Spider offers the ultimate top-down, fun-to-drive experience."
