Jeep is on the clock for a recall affecting 18,000 2018 and 2019 Wranglers due to a faulty frame weld.
According to the recall, the affected vehicles carry a front track bar with a faulty weld that misaligns the axles, resulting in the panhard bar separating the axle from the frame. No injuries or deaths have been reported as a result.
Fortunately, not all affected Wranglers have been sold, but a stop sale order has been mandated by Fiat Chrysler to all dealerships until the issue is resolved.
One 2018 Wrangler owner posted a Youtube video showing his track bar disassembling from the vehicle's frame.
