Passenger Caught Trying to Bring Snakes on a Plane

Just a couple of trouser snakes.

A passenger traveling through the Miami International Airport last week was caught trying to sneak some snakes through security. According to a social media post by the Transportation Security Administration, officers found a bag of hidden snakes in the person's pants on April 26.

Images shared alongside the announcement show two small pink snakes, which were packed inside a camo bag designed to hold a pair of Oakley sunglasses.

After making the discovery, officers turned over the animals to the Florida state wildlife agency. What became of the passenger is unclear. However, TSA said that officers called for assistance from local police as well as the U.S. Customs & Border Protection.

According to TSA rules, small pets are allowed through security checkpoints, but whether or not you can actually fly with them is up to the airlines. Most airlines, though, reportedly only allow cats and dogs.
