If you ever find yourself wondering how to release a trapped bobcat, this is what you don't want to do.
You may remember a post we published a while back which shows two trappers releasing a bobcat that from their fox trap. While their methods weren't the gold standard of what you should do, this video is bordering on the epitome of what you should absolutely not do if you're put in this situation.
The video below was uploaded to YouTube by Leo Topaz, and shows what appears to be the husband of the camera holder attempting to release a bobcat.
Not much is known about where this video was shot, or if this was their trap or if they were illegally tampering with another trapper's set. But what we do know is the guy who joins the bobcat release party right at the end has never seen what a bobcat can do when it's angry.

That was a close call, wasn't it? Obviously they need to invest in a better way to open that trap, and stay away from other people's property if it isn't their own, but all in all, this is an interesting video documenting a rarely seen event.
