Arby's will try elk sandwiches next.
You may recall last year's hype around restaurant chain Arby's foray into serving venison sandwiches. The meals sold out of every store in hours.
So, we're not too surprised to hear they will now give elk sandwiches a try in select stores.
"We took a look at what hunters and wild game enthusiasts love to talk about eating and elk was something that kept popping up," Arby's CEO Jim Taylor said. "And we said, 'this is another great-tasting game meat and we think our guests would enjoy it.'"
But, as was the case with the venison sandwiches, there's a catch. You have to be living in Colorado, Montana or Wyoming, and the sandwiches will only be available at three stores.
According to USA Today, these are the three lucky locations that will have the limited edition elk sandwich October 21:
200 East 144th Ave., Thornton, Colorado 80023
2607 CY Ave., Casper, Wyoming 82604
2834 King Ave. W, Billings, Montana 59102
According to an Arby's press release, the elk sandwich will be served with crispy onions and blackberry port steak sauce on a toasted roll.
But never fear if you don't live close to those three locations. The chain will be doing a mass release of the venison sandwiches that were so popular last year. This time they will be available in 3,300 locations nationwide.

Just in time for hunting season, right? The chain had to work with a New Zealand supplier a year in advance to secure enough venison for this release. We hope it's enough! You'll likely want to get to your local Arby's early!
