Arizona Firefighters Pull Two Fawns Out of the Line of Blazing Wildfire

Firefighters pull fawns out of the way of a wildfire.

We see a lot of fawn rescue videos and stories here at Wide Open Spaces. We've seen some pretty good ones already so far this summer involving police.

But this one is a little more dramatic and cooler than the rest. The U.S. Forest Service recently shared this video and pictures of some firefighters who pulled a couple of fawns out of path of a wildfire.

The cool photos and video were taken in Prescott National Forest 100 miles north of Phoenix. This fire, known as the Goodwin Fire, has been burning since June 24 and has taken out about 43 square miles. In all, there are around 1,200 brave firefighters battling the blaze.

And firefighters are coming to the aid of not just humans, but animals as well.

The Forest Service also noted the firefighters only moved the fawns because the blaze put the animals in immediate peril.

We don't know the names of the firefighters in the pictures and video, but good job on an incredible and heartwarming rescue guys!
